Success Stories Volunteer Village Program Wi-Fi for Campground for Volunteers From Bonneville Lock and Dam Visitor Center: We set up Wi-Fi in a campground that is used exclusively by our volunteers that live in their RVs and work either in the visitor center or the park. Our district Office of Counsel would not permit corps funds for the Wi-Fi but did allow our cooperating association to fund it. We also were required to add a real estate agreement for the 1 square foot of real estate the low range Wi-Fi router and antenna occupies. We mounted it in an existing building in close proximity to the campsites. The cooperating association funds this and paid the internet service provider to set it up and provide service because the volunteers help run the cooperating association store during the "tourist season." The Wi-Fi is password protected so only the volunteers may use it.
Item is restricted to U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, CAC required. Document will open in a new window.
