Army Star on Boats

HQUSACE guidance on 8 August 2024 mandates placement of the Army Star logo onto all Class 2, 3, and 4 Floating Plant. In other words, installation of the new Army Star logo is required on all boats 26 feet and over (but only optional for boats under 26 feet). Instructions state that the logo is to be heavy duty non-reflective vinyl. Pictures are included in Appendix A for reference on placement and color schematics. Pay close attention to the color schematics because they will determine which colorized version of the Army Star logo to order.

The guidance deliberately doesn't provide any specific instruction on size since each water vessel has its own unique design, pre-existing markings, etc. Due to this diversity in boat layouts, employees will have to perform a best-effort attempt to find a solution that keeps with the spirit of the guidance. This is one reason why vessels under 26 feet were excluded from the mandate.

To acquire the decals, people will have to determine the size and color scheme for their vessel(s) and order their own. UNICOR has the artwork and is ready to receive orders for decals. Ordering from local sign shops is also authorized. Artwork for the logo is in the Army Star Logo Artwork folder for those who order from a local sign shop.
