New England District and ERDC - CT River Hydrilla
The New England District and ERDC have been working on a research project to develop best management practices for a new biotype of hydrilla found in the CT River. The project is being conducted under the Aquatic Plant Control Research Program. Public outreach and education efforts got into full swing this past Spring and dye studies started on the river last week. The project received some positive media coverage over the last week and elected officials had a press conference about the hydrilla issue yesterday. Here’s a few links to the coverage if you’re interested.
