Returned Recreation Fees
Public Law 106-53, Section 225, authorized the Corps to retain all recreation use fee receipts above a baseline of $34 million for Fiscal Years 1999-2002. The total for all four years was returned to the projects in FY 2004, and these funds were available for expenditure until September 2005 to increase the quality of the visitor experience and enhance the protection of resources. See how projects spent the recreation fee collections over $34 million returned to them.
