Non-Native & Nuisance Species
Under certain conditions, some birds can be considered nuisance species and create problems for resource managers. Other species are non-native and potentially disruptive to native bird communities. Some information is available to suggest how to solve some of these problems. It is important to collaborate with your state fish and game department and/or the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service in the planning and execution of plans to reduce problems. Both State and Federal laws govern the legal actions and control measures. Depradation biologists can be very helpful in your planning. Potential Nuisance Species
