36 Code of Federal Regulations, Chapter III, Part 327 (Title 36) established the first nationwide set of rules and regulations governing public use of Corps of Engineers Water Resources Development Projects. |
2000 |
The most recent update of 36 Code of Federal Regulations, Chapter III, Part 327 (Title 36) is published.
36 CFR, Chapter III, Part 327.4, Aircraft, states in part, “the operation of aircraft on project lands at locations other than those designated by the District Commander is prohibited. No person shall operate any aircraft while on or above project waters or project lands in a careless, negligent or reckless manner so as to endanger any person, property or environmental feature.” |
2016 |
EC 1110-1-106 is signed, providing guidance on the use of UAS by the public and commercial organizations and by other Federal, state and local governments and law enforcement agencies at water resources development projects administered by the USACE. |
2018 |
An updated EC 1110-1-109 is signed, providing guidance on the use of UAS by the public and commercial organizations and by other Federal, state and local governments and law enforcement agencies at water resources development projects administered by the USACE. Sections 13 through 15 discuss the use of UAS by non-USACE personnel on USACE managed lands and reporting requirements. |
