partial park closures

Lake: J. Strom Thurmond Lake

Park: all parks

Corps POC: Christina Westerberg

Story:
LOOP CLOSURES: A cost-saving option that is easy to implement is closing sections of a campground or day use area to reduce the amount of cleaning and maintenance by the contractor. Simply put up a cable or barricade, and announce the specific loop closure so that your visitors are aware that the entire park is not open. This allows visitors to still visit their favorite park, but reduces the cost of keeping it open by only keeping certain areas open to visitors while closing off other loops in the same park for the season.
