Story:
Hensley Lake has been receiving money for equipment and supplies through the Madera County Fines Committee for the past 20 years. The money is generated from citations issued to individuals that are disregarding California Fish and Game regulations. The committee allots the fine money to local agencies for natural resource and educational projects. Over the years Hensley Lake has received materials and dozer work to create fish habitat, seed for wildlife food plots, purchase a slide projector, develop interpretive videos, and buy a camera for the parks educational programs.
