Story:
Under the above referenced agreement, BLM operates the Corps owned McGregor Park Visitor Center Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend. They also use the VC and adjacent Park area for environmental education programs. We tried numerous other options, including volunteers to keep the center open during the recreation season but none of these were successful. Without this agreement we would not have the staff or additional labor dollars to keep the center open. Bottom line, the doors would be locked.
