Revised Natural Resources Management Uniform Program Allowance Schedule
I am happy to announce that Mr. Thomas P. Smith, Chief of Operations and Regulatory Division, has signed the attached memorandum revising the Natural Resources Management (NRM) Uniform Program allowance schedule for Park Rangers and other NRM employees authorized to wear the NRM uniform per ER/EP 1130-2-550, Chapter 8. The revised schedule is enclosed in the memo, and is effective for FY21. The uniform contractor will adjust the amounts, per each employee's tenure status, prior to the opening of the FY21 uniform ordering site. The increased amounts recognize the needs of our Park Rangers to be appropriately equipped with uniforms and outerwear that meets the safety and outdoor challenges while maintaining a professional and official appearance to the public.

I want to thank the Park Ranger Uniform Committee members including Chairperson Sara Jernigan who has worked this issue for some time to ensure the amounts are well justified and appropriate at the different levels. Additional thanks to Stephen Austin, Sr. Policy Advisor for Park Ranger Activities who is the POC for this effort and can be reached 202-590-6811, stephen.b.austin@usace.army.mil.

Please also extend my sincere appreciation to all of our NRM staff who have worked under very challenging conditions this year. I encourage all to make time to relax over the upcoming holidays.

Please be safe at work, in your travels and at home.

    Jeff
