Nominations for Legends and Beacons Awards - Suspense 27 March 2015
All, attached is the memo announcing the request for nominations for the American Recreation Coalition's (ARC) Legends and Beacon Awards. I am sending you all an advance copyEddie has not yet sent this out to the Commanders, but it is signed. I wanted you to be able to begin to work this as the suspense is 27 March. Hopefully this will go out today. The MSC Ops Chiefs will get a cc when he sends it out, so you might mention this to your Chief and see if they know a Legend they would like to support! PLEASE DO YOUR BEST TO SOLICIT GREAT NOMINATIONS. Our folks really need recognition and acknowledgement of the great work they do! You all know some Legends so perhaps you might consider doing a nomination for someone. We also have some really innovative technology efforts going on in the field. If you know of anygive them a call and see if their project will nominate them. The Great Outdoors Week is going to be a really big deal here in DC and having the best of the best of the Corps get recognition would be the best! Thanks Mary Nomination and selection criteria are enclosed. Only one nomination per MSC will be accepted. Please make every effort to submit nominations for an outstanding individual and an initiative (may include multiple individuals). This is a chance to recognize the best of the best!
