School/University Partnerships
High schools, community colleges, trade schools, and universities near Corps lakes can be a great resource to tap into to recruit volunteers and interns, assist with special events and projects, and conduct research for the Corps’ recreation and environmental stewardship programs. Participating in job fairs, conducting programs in schools, and contacting the Natural Resources and Recreation Departments at colleges are just a few ways to open doors to partner with the education community. Many schools now require a minimum level of volunteer service or community project as a graduation prerequisite.
