Corps Foundation
The Corps of Engineers Natural Resources Education Foundation (CNREF), doing business as the “Corps Foundation” is a non-profit advocacy organization dedicated to the stewardship of the environmental, cultural, educational, and outdoor recreational resources associated with the Natural Resources Management mission of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
The Foundation is a non-profit, tax exempt 501(c)(3) organization governed by a Board of Trustees who serve without remuneration. The board is comprised of community and professional leaders who have a special interest in the Corps. People protect what they understand and appreciate. With visitor use demands escalating and agency funding declining, the role of cooperating associations to assist in the educational process will continue to expand. The Corps of Engineers Natural Resources Education Foundation accepts tax-deductible contributions in support of educational and interpretive programs.
In cooperation with the U. S. Army Corps of Engineers, the Corps Foundation directs charitable contributions toward significant projects, aiding the Corps with capital construction, historical preservation, education and land protection. The Foundation is committed to the fulfillment of Corps' Natural Resources goals, especially the education of visitors to Corps sites.
