What is the Gateway? | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
The NRM Gateway is a knowledge management based website that provides Corps' staff with information about recreation, environmental stewardship, environmental compliance programs, and partnerships. This tool enhances communication within the NRM community and preserves the organization's institutional knowledge. It also provides the public with information about Corps lakes and recreation areas on the Visitors tab. The NRM Gateway proponent is the Recreation Leadership Advisory Team (RLAT). Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) provide information to the Gateway for their areas of expertise and are responsible to keep program pages up to date. In addition to NRM program pages, the Gateway also contains various Communities of Practice (CoPs) pages, to include Operations & Regulatory, Operations Project Managers, and Park Rangers. Smartbooks for the NRM CoP and the Park Ranger CoP make it easier to connect with others in the CoPs. Periodic Gateway Glimpses also enhance communication with virtual newsletters to everyone in the Smartbooks. |
