USACE Guide for Marking Traffic Gates
The issue of how to mark gates on our facilities and in our parks was raised recently by some of our parks personnel. Based on a quick survey, it was evident that there was not really any uniformity - but a quick check of the regulations showed that there are applicable laws and regulations proscribing the proper gate markings we should use.

We therefore prepared a guide to proper marking of these gates, with help from Operations Sign Program and Engineering personnel, and the product is attached. Please distribute this guidance to your Operations Chiefs, Resource Managers and other facility managers. The memo should be used in conjunction with the listed regulations to evaluate current conditions and plan compliance upgrades as needed.

Please contact me if you have any questions concerning this memo

    Thank you, Karl
