Day Use Fee Waived on Veterans Day, 11 November 2011
    1. Please distribute as appropriate the attached memorandum reiterating the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Fee Free Day on Veterans Day, 11 November 2011. Accordingly, all day use fees for veterans, active duty service members and their families visiting Corps-managed recreation areas will be waived on Veterans Day.

    2. Also, note that memorandum dated 16 July 2010, SUBJECT: Theater of Operation Name Change: Global War on Terror to Overseas Contingency Operations; Recreation Day Use Fee and Camping Fee Waiver for Active Service Personnel and DoD Civilians, remains in full effect. That document can be accessed at https://corpslakes.erdc.dren.mil/employees/usefees/waiver.cfm.

    3. The attached news release has been distributed by HQ PAO to Division and District PAO's. Operations Project Management staff should coordinate with their respective PAO's in developing a localized news release.

    4. Our point of contact in CECW-CO for this matter is Mr. Pep Persio, (202) 761-0036.

    Thanks.
    Mike
