Suspension of the Natural Resources Management (NRM) Uniform Contract
As many of you know, the new five-year interagency NRM uniform contract was awarded to VF Imagewear in September and the firm began accepting FY12 uniform orders on 1 October 2011.

As a result of a bid protest, a stop order has been issued to VF Imagewear by the National Park Service Contracting Officer, effective immediately.

Until further notice, all uniform orders (new, or in process) are suspended following further action by the NPS Contracting Officer and the agency Contracting Officer Technical Representatives.

I understand the hardship that this will place on our park rangers and other NRM uniformed employees and the impact that this action will cause in accomplishing our mission objectives. We will be seeking resolution as quickly as possible and I will keep you informed during this suspension.
