Military Waiver Card Needs Estimate--Suspense: COB 6 JUL 2011
What I need you to do is send me an estimate of how many cards (hangtags or decals) you anticipate needing throughout your division when this program is implemented by 6 July 2011. Also attached is a spreadsheet for you to insert your data.

Note this is a 1-year effort that was proposed to start 1 Jan 2012 at the latest. However, there is some major pressure from NPS/DOI leadership to get this done before then.

The difference between this card and what USACE is already doing for military discounts is that this card can be obtained and used by the family members of uniformed military personnel while they are deployed if they show their military ID (similar to CAC) and a copy of the service members deployment orders. Also, it can only be used for entrance fees (other FLMs), day use fees, and not camping.

Mary Coulombe asked me to obtain estimates on quantities needed since these will eventually be distributed similar to how the National Operations Center for Water Safety handles accountable property shipped out of the Depot to districts. Pep Persio is also working on other matters regarding this initiative for HQ if you have any questions.

If you need a refresher on what discounts we already provide military and DOD civilians in support of OCO go to http://corpslakes.usace.army.mil/employees/usefees/waiver.cfm
