May 3, 2011 OMBIL Visitation Lockdown June 30, 2011
1. The attached memorandum announces direct input of recreation visitation into OMBIL will
cease on June 30, 2011. The data fields for visitation in OMBIL will no longer be editable by
the end user. These fields will only populate from the WebVERS OVERSync process.
2. WebVERS is now designated as the single official Corps visitation database.
3. A
summary of the VERS modernization effort's current status, the activity completed to date,
and ongoing activity with estimated completion dates through FY13 is posted on the
Gateway: http://corpslakes.usace.army.mil/employees/usurveys/p dfs/11apr-29-
VERSModEffort.pdf. Implementation of new VERS is expected in the 2013 recreation
season.
