April 20, 2009 COE Natural Resources Education Foundation Request for Proposals - Suspense 30 June 2009
1. An article was in the April electronic issue of the Engineer Update about the recent efforts of the Corps of Engineers Natural Resources Education Foundation (CNREF). The CNREF is a non-profit advocacy organization dedicated to the stewardship of the environmental, cultural and outdoor recreational resources associated with the Natural Resources Management mission of the U. S. Army Corps of Engineers. The CNREF selected three projects in 2008 to facilitate partnerships which assist the Corps with projects and activities not supported by normal budget activities. The article is also posted on the Corps of Engineers home page: http://www.usace.army.mil/CEPA/EngineerUpdate/Pages/CNREFprojects.aspx
2. To continue this effort, CNREF has requested information on potential partnership projects or initiatives that they might be of assistance on for 2009. This information will help determine where the Foundation can best focus its resources. If a project is interested in providing information, use the attached instructions and complete the form. Submit the information directly to CNREF by emailing the form to: RFIreviewboard@CorpsFoundation.org.
