Training Vacancies Available - Interpretive Services PROSPECT Course (3-5 June 2008)
1. A few vacancies are available for the 3-5 June 2008 Interpretive Services PROSPECT course (session 08-02), to be conducted at the Tom Bevill Training Center in Huntsville, Alabama.
2. This is an important part of the Natural Resources Management (NRM) Training Program, and all park rangers, NRM/recreation specialists and resource/park managers are encouraged to attend. Continuing Education Units (CEUs) are now being offered as part of this training.
3. This course provides instruction on preparing and presenting interpretive programs, planning interpretive materials such as signs, brochures, etc., and demonstrates how interpretive principles can be used to help meet project management objectives in all program areas. Interpretive skills are useful to those working in environmental compliance, water safety, recreation, stewardship, partnerships and any other position requiring public contact or preparing materials for the public.
4. Anyone interested in taking this course (Interpretive Services #072), should immediately coordinate the action with their supervisor and then contact Ms. Sherry Whitaker, 256-895-7425 in the Huntsville Registrar Division or have their Training POC fill out the attached credit card form and email to Ms. Sherry Whitaker, sherry.whitaker@us.army.mil
