ENR Conference - IMBA Trail Workshop Opportunity
In partnership with the Corps, the International Mountain Bicycling Association (IMBA) has offered to conduct a trail management seminar Monday afternoon, October 29 as a kick start to our national conference (details below). To support IMBA in this effort, I need to know how many people would be interested in participating so room and lodging arrangements can be finalized.

I need to hear from those who would like to attend this workshop by COB August 31.

The International Mountain Bicycling Association (IMBA) will offer a three-hour seminar on "Trail Management" October 29 from 1:00 - 4:00 pm, with 4:00 - 5:00 pm set aside for post-seminar questions. Topics covered will include:

    • Planning And Designing Trails
    • Developing and Nurturing Partnerships
    • Managing Volunteers
    • Environmental Impacts of Trails
    • Managing User Conflict
    • Safety and Risk Management
    • Non-enforcement Trail Patrols
    • Signage

The cost of the course is $20 and includes a copy of "Managing Mountain Biking: IMBAs Guide To Providing Great Riding," a full-color, 256-page publication on recreation trail management. Course instructor is Scott Linnenburger, IMBAs Director of Field Programs. Scott has taught trail design, construction, and management seminars to land managers and volunteers in 40 states and worked on numerous Corps project sites

    About IMBA
