February 11, 2005 Revised Draft Recreation Outgrant Development Policy - Request for Review Comments - Suspense 4 March 2005
Please review the draft policy and provide your comments to Mr. Toplisek or Ms. Norman by 4 March 05 as stated in MG Riley's memo. Please note that this policy deals only with requests for use of Corps land for recreation purposes. During this round of review we would like to have consolidated comments provided by districts rather than individual comments provided on the earlier review. I encourage you to give this the widest dissemination possible.
As a side note, we did brief Mr. Woodley this morning and he has endorsed our proposed direction.
Also, I plan to share this material with our stakeholders next week when I attend the Partners Outdoors Meeting. I encourage you to share the draft policy with your local stakeholders. We would like to have their comments in hand not later than 18 March. This will allow us sufficient time to make adjustments before the final policy is presented to the Chief and Mr. Woodley. I will be the POC for all private sector comments.
