Natural Resources Management Employee of the Year Award - Suspense 1 May 2026
Please submit your nominations for the Natural Resources Management Employee of the Year Award and the Hiram M. Chittenden Award for Interpretive Excellence. These awards will be presented in 2026 at the 4th Quarter Executive Governance Meeting in August, where the Chief of Engineers will acknowledge all winners.

The Natural Resources Management Employee of the Year Award acknowledges an individual who has provided exceptional work within the USACE Natural Resources Management Program (NRM). Eligibility includes permanent and seasonal employees who work under the natural resource program and contribute to the Environmental Compliance, Environmental Stewardship and/or Recreation programs.

Nominations must be routed through each District to the appropriate MSC. Each MSC will electronically forward one nomination for consideration. Nomination packages must be assembled in accordance with the attached instructions and criteria to me at Tara.J.Whitsel@usace.army.mil no later than 1 May 2026. Please encourage your staff to nominate our excellent Natural Resources Management team!
