USACE NRM Annual Report
It is with great pleasure that I get to share the Natural Resources Management 2024 Annual Report.
Over the past several months, the NRM team has, and continues, to navigate through many challenges and uncertainties. The team has met each challenge and uncertainty with the utmost in professionalism and in the spirit of stewardship for our mission.
Sharing this report, for the 6th consecutive year, allows us the opportunity to positively reflect on the many facets and accomplishments of USACE's Natural Resources Management Program. At the national level, we continued to be actively engaged in many interagency work groups and initiatives focused on outdoor recreation use. In the field, our talented teams fulfilled mission requirements, supported infrastructure improvements, and prioritized safety as our projects continued to host over 260 million visits.
This report also highlights and provides recognition to what matters the most, our NRM workforce. While we would like to individually recognize and thank each and every one of you for the tremendous work that is accomplished each day, please help us congratulate those who have been nominated and received special recognition for their achievements in natural resources management in 2024.
As we transition through operational and workforce changes, the value and need for our mission has not diminished. Our program will continue to be adaptable, efficient, and responsive to change. As your NRM Chief, Mr. Jeff Krause notes within the report, OUR work matters and YOU inspire me as well, each and every day. It is our hope that you are able to take a few minutes to read this document and feel pride in the many accomplishments that are occurring on our public lands and waters across the nation.
This report is available on the homepage of the NRM Gateway at the following link: https://corpslakes.erdc.dren.mil/pdfs/FY24-NRM-Annual- Report.pdf and on the USACE Knowledge Management Portal at: https://usace.dps.mil/sites/KMP-CW/SitePages/Natural- Resource-Management.aspx. Great effort leading the report Tara and well done to our leadership and the entire NRM Team!
