    2025 USACE National Water Safety Award Winners
    It is my pleasure to announce the winners of the 2025 U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Water Safety Awards from the National Boating Federation. See the attached announcement memo signed by Stephen L. Hill, Director of Operations and Regulatory Programs.

    • National USACE Water Safety Employee of the Year - Chelsea Jones, Natural Resources Specialist, Pittsburgh District
    • National USACE Water Safety Team of the Year - Rathbun Lake Staff, Kansas City District

    Division Water Safety Employee Award Winners:

    • MVD Water Safety Employee of the Year - Breanna Whitley, Natural Resources Specialist, Rend Lake, St. Louis District
    • NWD Water Safety Employee of the Year - Allen Flint, Natural Resources Specialist, Truman Lake, Kansas City District
    • SAD Water Safety Employee of the Year - Annette Dotson, Natural Resources Specialist, Hartwell Lake, Savannah District
    • SPD Water Safety Employee of the Year - Kevin Rodriguez, Park Ranger, Success Lake, Sacramento District
    • SWD Water Safety Employee of the Year - Abby Jones, Natural Resources Management Specialist, Tulsa District

    Division Water Safety Team Award Winners:

    • MVD Water Safety Team of the Year - Lake Ouachita Staff, Vicksburg District
    • SAD Water Safety Team of the Year - Jacksonville District Water Safety Team
    • SWD Water Safety Team of the Year - Eufaula Lake Park Ranger Staff, Tulsa District

    These awards recognize a U.S. Army Corps of Engineers employee and team that have contributed to boating and water safety in an effective manner that has made a difference in saving lives on our nation’s waterways. Exceptional nominations for these awards were received and all are worthy of recognition. I appreciate everyone that took the time to submit nominations for these awards. These are annual awards and the request for nominations will be distributed later this year.
