2023 Outdoor Recreation Roundtable's Legends Award Winner - Mr. Scott Sunderland (NAD)
Please join us in congratulating Mr. Scott Sunderland, Supervisory Natural Resource Manager at Blue Marsh Lake, Philadelphia District (NAD), for his selection as the recipient of the 2023 Outdoor Recreation Roundtable's Legends Award for outstanding work to improve outdoor recreation experiences and opportunities for the American people. Over the past 42 years, Mr. Sunderland has been a national leader and innovative thinker. Through creative partnerships, stakeholder collaboration and thoughtful leadership, he leads his organization in offering the best possible Corps of Engineers recreational opportunities to the visiting public.

Mr. Sunderland's guidance and recommendations are highly respected and sought out by the Corps at all levels. His selfless service, tenacious spirit and passion for the Corps' Recreation Program distinguish him as a national leader on Recreation and Land Management. Many look to him as a mentor and seek his advice and counsel when evaluating management decisions at their location.

The Legend Award winners from each agency will be honored at a ceremony during the Outdoor Recreation Roundtable's National Outdoor Recreation Executive Forum, scheduled for May 7, 2024. Mr. Sunderland's accomplishments and efforts bring positive recognition to the Corps of Engineers and our partners.
