Customer Comment Card Survey - Information for the Upcoming Mandatory Year (Apr 2022 - May 2023)
As you should all be aware, this upcoming year is a mandatory year for conducting the Customer Comment Card Survey, scheduled for Apr 2022 – May 2023. The NRM Gateway will be used to house the information you will need including the Survey Schedule Generator. The mandatory year was delayed due to COVID so this will be the first mandatory survey since the last one in 2018-2019.

    https://corpslakes.erdc.dren.mil/employees/commentcard/commentcard.cfm

    Current status:

    1. The Comment Card on the Gateway is the card that will be used for this year’s survey (OMB Control #: 0710-0019 Exp: 02/28/2023) - https://corpslakes.erdc.dren.mil/employees/commentcard/pdfs/2 0recarea_card_english.pdf The OMB approval for this Card expires 28 Feb 2023 which does not take us thru the entire survey period. However, the Customer Comment Card is currently being routed to OMB for their re-approval. We anticipate OMB approval well before the Feb 2023 expiration date which will prevent a disruption to the survey. Currently, no substantial changes are being made to the Card that would cause a difference in responses, so there is no need to consider a “crosswalk” that would reconcile responses from technically two different Cards (the current card and the one OMB approves). This is, of course, pending no significant comments from OBM that may cause significant changes to the Card. If that occurs we will cross that bridge if we come to it (not anticipated).

    2. Please recall there is no separate survey for Visitor Centers. From the Gateway: NEW: No separate survey process for Visitor Centers. Visitor Centers are no longer considered as stand-alone PSAs; thus there is no more need to conduct a separate survey process for them. Visitor Centers are now included in the list of all PSAs in the Survey Calendar Generator and use the same Comment Card images.

    3. The Survey Schedule Generator has been updated for your use. I suggest you save the attached file to your computer and then launch it from your own hard drive instead of attempting to launch it directly from this email.

    4. Christine Wibowo retired in Sept 2021 and she was a key player that ensured this process went smoothly from year to year, and would also troubleshoot any issues with the Schedule Generator. In her absence, please send any questions to me, Scott Strotman (james.s.strotman@usace.army.mil) or Ashleigh Boss (Ashleigh.N.Boss@usace.army.mil) and I/we will work to find an answer.

Bottom line, everything should be in place to begin your surveys for any surveys conducted between 1 April 2022 and 28 February 2023. Until we receive new OMB approval, no surveys may be conducted after 28 Feb 2023. I will keep you updated regarding that approval status.

    Best Regards,
    Scott
