NPLD and Legacy Grants
FYI - Offices that submitted an application to the National Environmental Education Training Foundation (NEETF) for the Department of Defense Legacy Grants for National Public Lands Day projects are receiving letters from NEEFT notifying them that the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is not eligible for this program.

While NEETF initially opened the application process to Corps sites, they were advised later by the Department of Defense that these sites are not eligible for Legacy grants. We are looking into this and hope to have the situation corrected for next year. NEETF sincerely regrets having misinterpreted the rules and having raised your expectations for financial assistance for your site this year.
