#USACEeducates Launch --A Way To Virtually Reach Your Visitors
I'd like to take this opportunity to introduce a new online program, created by a talented group of Corps park rangers, designed to provide important interpretive/education programs during this time of "Safe-at-Home" measures.
Each week we will upload a week of Facebook postings, to the Interpretive Services and Outreach Program (ISOP) SharePoint site, to help our visitors learn about USACE and the world around them while they aren't able to be out at our parks. A notification will be sent out through the NRM Community Forum when the new posts are available. The sharepoint site is located at https://cops.usace.army.mil/sites/NRM/ISO/Online%20Resour ce%20Group/Forms/AllItems.aspx
Posts are geared toward family and youth education. Attached is a picture for each post, and the Word Doc has the verbiage and links for each day. Some days have an AM and PM posting. Please share these resources on your project and district Facebook pages.
The theme for week one is, "You can recreate where you are!" Each day "we" explore with our visitors something about our natural world or the USACE. In future weeks we will also be including STEM activities and look forward to Earth Day post next week.
If you have any questions or ideas for future #USACEeducates posts please send them to Tim Bischoff (Tim.Bischoff@usace.army.mil) and Amanda Kruse (Amanda.L.Kruse@usace.army.mil).
Additional social media resources regarding water safety can be found on the National Water Safety Program's social media pages (Please Wear It on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter) and you are encouraged to use and share those resources to promote water safety along with the water safety resources we provide.
Thank you, and have fun sharing this resource!
