Vacancies Available at the August Operations Project Management Course in Washington DC
Huntsville Training Division is now accepting training requests (DD Form 1556) for the August 9-13 OPM Course on a first-come-first serve basis. Currently they have 12 vacancies.
As many of you are aware, we are working on a comprehensive development plan for both aspiring and incumbent Operations Project Managers.
Part of this effort is focused on bringing the Operations Project Management PROSPECT course up to date in light of a variety of recent changes (2012, PMBP, P2, business line budgeting, performance measures, etc.). While not totally redesigned, the 9-13 August class will represent somewhat of a "pilot test" for many of the proposed changes. We believe it will be a significant improvement and will contain very timely information to all in attendance.
This revised course will concentrate on current issues and challenges facing the Corps and will provide a significant opportunity for students to interact with Corps senior leaders.
Unfortunately, because budgets are tight, several districts have canceled their spaces in the August class, creating some vacancies. If you have recently appointed OPMs or have potential future OPM candidates interested and the means to send them, I'd recommend that you fax a 1556 to Janie Hughes in Huntsville. Spaces will be allocated on a first come/first served basis.
Thank you for your support!
