Handshake Program - FY19 Request for nominations - Suspense 30 Sep 2018
Please see the attached memorandum, signed by the Chief of Operations and Regulatory Division, that announces the call for proposals for the FY 19 Handshake Partnership Program. The program is in its sixteenth year and offers an additional funding source (i.e., seed money up to $20,000 per project) to Corps facilities for worthwhile partnership projects. The Handshake Program provides an excellent opportunity to leverage your local partnerships with Corps dollars outside of your usual O&M budget to help complete recreation and environmental stewardship projects that benefit both your lands, waters, and visitors.

Electronic applications with district and MSC coordination must be sent from the MSCs to Mr. Heath Kruger at heath.r.kruger@usace.army.mil, representative on the Partnership Advisory Committee, NLT 30 September 2018.

The memo, application instructions, and a copy of the application are included in this e-mail and will also be posted on the NRM Gateway Handshake Program page at htt ps://corpslakes.erdc.dren.mil/employees/handshake/handshake.cfm.

Handshake Program webinars will be conducted on 27 July (11:00 - 12:00 Eastern); 10 August (2:00 - 3:00 Eastern) and 23 August (11:00 - 12:00 Eastern). Call-in/Web meeting information will be sent one week prior to each webinar.
