I am happy to share with you the attached policy memorandum containing revised USACE Uniform Requirements for Operations and Maintenance Personnel. This memorandum reflects decisions reached in concert with MSC Operations Chiefs and key leadership at USACE Headquarters. As indicated in the memorandum, USACE civilian personnel that provide direction or information to the operators and crews of commercial, government, or recreational vessels during the locking process or perform maintenance in public recreation areas shall wear a high visibility safety vest with a USACE Logo. MSCs Commanders may also designate use of optional uniform items found in Enclosure 2 and will be responsible for working through Human Technologies Corporation (HTC) to procure these items.

Additional details can be found in the attached policy memorandum. The Point of Contact at HTC is Ms. Karen Smith, Purchasing Manager, info@htcorp.net. The Point of Contact in CECW-CO for the matter is Mr. Cody Eckhardt, Acting Senior Program Manager for Inland Navigation, Cody.Eckhardt@usace.army.mil.

    Respectfully,
    Tom
