2017 Chittenden Award for Interpretation (NRM) - Cassie Magsig
I am very pleased to announce that Ms. Cassie Magsig, has been selected as the recipient of the 2017 Hiram M. Chittenden Award for Interpretive Excellence. This award recognizes outstanding contributions in interpretation and environmental education. It is based on the demonstration of creativity and originality, which produces a positive experience for visitors and enhances the public's understanding of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (Corps). Ms. Magsig is the Natural Resources Specialist at Rend Lake Project, St. Louis District. Ms. Magsig has fostered a well-rounded and innovative interpretive program, involving water safety, recreation, environmental stewardship and flood risk management missions and has infused creativity, innovation, and teamwork into the Project's interpretive and partnership programs.
