Public Lands Day - 24 Sept. 2016
The National Public Lands Day (NPLD) 2016 website is now open and is more robust than ever. September 24 marks the 23rd annual NPLD and it continues to do a great job in connecting people with to our public lands, inspiring environmental stewardship and encouraging the use of public lands for education, recreation and general health.

The link takes you to the site where there are numerous resources available including recognition certificates, fee free coupons, and other resources. The 2015 NLPD manual is on the site and is a good guideline for planning an event. One of the great resources on this site is the opportunity to register your event so that it is dispersed to a wide audience of people who want to help but just don't know where to go.
