Selections for the Chief of Engineers Natural Resources Management Awards for 2015
On behalf of the Chief, I am pleased to announce the following selections for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Chief of Engineers Natural Resources Management Awards for 2015. Your staff nominated an outstanding array of candidates this year and all were worthy of recognition. Thanks for taking the time to nominate and recognize your best. The first four awards recognize individuals who have done extraordinary work in the fields of natural resources stewardship, recreation, interpretation and environmental compliance, respectively. The fifth award recognizes a Corps lake project based on their accomplishments in management efficiency, public involvement, public safety, management effectiveness, and partnerships as related to all elements of the Natural Resources Management program. Our national winners for 2015 are: Natural Resources Management Stewardship Employee of the Year: Dr. Kurt Moseley, Great Lakes and Ohio River Division, Pittsburgh District Natural Resources Management Recreation Employee of the Year: Mr. Rick Pingley, Great Lakes and Ohio River Division, Huntington District, Burnsville Lake Hiram Chittenden Award: Ms. Tracy Spry, Mississippi Valley Division, Rock Island District, Lake Red Rock Natural Resources Management Environmental Compliance Employee of the Year: Mr. William D. Harlon III, Northwestern Division, Omaha District Natural Resources Management Project of the Year: Lake Shelbyville, Mississippi Valley Division, St. Louis District Hard copies of the memorandums announcing the winners and acknowledging those who were not selected are working their way through the system.
