Visitor Assistance Program - Policy and Guidance
The attached memorandum provides updated policy on a number of issues regarding the Visitor Assistance (VA) Program which were a result of a number of national surveys, the Michigan State University comprehensive VA study, and subsequent analysis by an Ad Hoc Team of NRM CoP members. The Ad Hoc team's report is attached and the VA surveys and MSU Report are available on the NRM Gateway.

Please incorporate the policy/program modifications into your programs as applicable and appropriate.

The Park Ranger CoP Advisory Board and the VA Instructor Cadre will be following-up on other recommendations related to the VA program. Additional information will be provided under a separate cover at a later date.
