New Chair of the Park Ranger CoP Advisory Board
It is my pleasure to announce that Tom Ehrke, Park Manager at Pine Flat Lake, Sacramento District, has been selected as the new Chair of the Park Ranger Community of Practice Advisory Board. Tom brings considerable field level perspective to the table, having worked in the St. Paul, Fort Worth and Sacramento Districts at all levels of the USACE Park Ranger program. Tom is a SPD Visitor Assistance course instructor, a SPK Boat Operator trainer, a former PROSPECT O&M Contracting Course instructor, an active member on the Recreation Leadership Advisory Team, and recently completed a temporary appointment as the Chief of SPK's Operations Technical Section. Tom was also very instrumental in supporting the Corps Mandatory Life Jacket Wear Study by volunteering his project to be part of the national test. Tom will be contacting the members of the Advisory Board in the near future to begin setting the Board's agenda for the coming year. I appreciate Tom's compassion and dedication in serving as the Chair for this important Community of Practice.

    Thnx,
    Jim Hannon
