Training Spaces Available for the Interpretive Services PROSPECT Courses
Spaces are still available for the Interpretive Services PROSPECT Course #072 (2- 5 June 2014) in Huntsville, Alabama and for the Interpretive Services for Managers, Supervisors and Team Leaders PROSPECT Course #070 (9-13 June 2014) in Portland, Oregon. Course descriptions are below.
Both courses do an excellent job at conveying the importance of interpretation (i.e. effective communication with the public) to help meet agency management objectives. Knowledge of interpretive techniques can give your staff the ability to better communicate with park visitors on a wide variety of management issues and can encourage compliance with regulations, promote sustainability, and help people appreciate and support the Corps recreation and resource management missions. These tools help our agency efforts at getting more children outdoors and with other aspects of the Administration's America's Great Outdoors initiative.
To register for either course, please contact your supervisor and/or training coordinator. For additional information, please contact Constance Tiller, Course Manager, USACE Learning Center/Huntsville (ULC), Constance.Tiller@usace.army.mil or Pat Barry, Patrick.Barry@usace.army.mil Lead instructor.
