Status of the Natural Resources Management (Park Ranger) Uniform Program
The memorandum from the National Park Service Contracting Office provides an update regarding the status of the multi-agency uniform program.

As we all know, the uniform program has been shut down since 1 October. This action was caused initially by the government shut down and then by the legal requirement by the NPS that the contract be fully funded before the contractor, VF Imagewear, can begin operation. This means all participating agencies (NPS, F&W, BLM, Park Police, Corps) must provide their full obligated FY14 amount before VF can begin shipments.

The Corps has completed all our contract requirements and NPS should be receiving our funding in full by the end of this week. However, depending on how fast the other agencies can provide their funding will determine when VF can begin operation. Please read the attached memorandum for further information. Obviously this is an unfortunate and unacceptable circumstance and we hope that shipments can begin as soon as possible.

    Thank you for your patience.

    Steve Austin, Natural Resource Manager
