Coalition for Rec Trails 2001 achievement award program
The Coalition for Rec Trails has announced its 2001 achievement award program to recognize outstanding trail projects funded by the national Recreational Trails Program. The awards will be presented in Wash DC in June during Great Outdoors Week 2002 (June 10-14). The award ceremony will be held on Capitol Hill. Nominations may include projects funded since 1993 or under development. Award categories will include: construction and design; maintenance and rehab; education and communication initiatives; accessibility enhancement; multiple-use management or corridor sharing; and environment/wildlife compatibility. A single project may be nominated for one or several categories to improve the chances of winning.
