Green Procurement Compilation Update News
The Green Procurement Compilation is the single best tool to help you comply with the
Sustainable Acquisition requirements in EO 13514 and the USACE Campaign Plan Action 1c1.
It puts all of the requirements in one place (so you don't have to go searching EPA, DOE,
USDA and other websites) and is organized by product and service categories. Below is an
update of some recent improvements to the tool. For more information on Sustainable

Green Procurement Compilation (GPC) Stakeholders:
Over the past three months, the
GPC team ventured into integrating green procurement knowledge into the facility
environment. We began with creating a new cafeteria space in the Sustainable Facility Tool's (SFTool) Explore module .
This new space contains information on how to not only design a more sustainable cafeteria,
but also how to operate and stock it with green products. Many thanks to the team of
cafeteria experts from GSA and other federal agencies who helped us to create this new
interactive space! You can tour the cafeteria by visiting

Be sure to check out some of the other recently added GPC features:
Launch
of a services module that provides you with information on how to include green purchasing
requirements in a variety of service contracts. The module includes information on required
green products, optional green practices, evaluation factors, where to buy, and important
references for cafeteria and food services, janitorial services, laundry services, and pest
management. Guidance on four additional services will go live before the end of the fiscal

Capability to create customized product lists so you can select and download the
green product information that you need to get the job done. Simply create a free SFTool account , and you can start creating,
saving, and downloading your own green product requirements lists by clicking on the green
"+" button that appears next to every product listed in the GPC.
Addition of
BioPreferred Round 10 biobased product designations. The GPC was updated to include
eight new biobased products that the USDA designated on June 11, 2013.
New
name for the GPC! You also likely noticed that we have changed the name of the GPC to the
Green Procurement Compilation. With the addition of tools to make your service
acquisitions greener, it made sense to change the name to reflect the GPC's broader scope.
We look forward to sharing our next development update, which will include the
launch of a laboratory space that covers sustainable design and green products for common
laboratories. We also will be adding information on how each listed green product can help
agencies meet the Guiding Principles for High Performance and Sustainable Buildings.
