Announcement of Legends and Beacon Awards
Memo was signed 10 May 2013 announcing Ms. Rachel Garren, Natural Resources Specialist, St. Louis District as the recipient of the 2013 American Recreation Coalition's Legends Award and Mr. John Wargo, Park Ranger at Alum Creek Lake, Huntington District as the recipient of the 2013 Beacon Award.

These awards are presented annually to recognize an outstanding federal employee for his/her significant contributions to the enhancement of outdoor recreation resources, facilities and experiences on the nation's public lands and to recognize an initiative that represents the innovative use of technology to enhance visitor services. Mr. Wargo will be recognized at the Beacon award ceremony on 3 June 2013 and Ms. Garren will be recognized at the Recreation Exchange Luncheon on 05 June 2013 in Washington, DC.
