National Marina Day: June 9
Please share this information with marina operators on our Corps lakes. Now in its eleventh year, National Marina Day (NMD), will be celebrated on June 9, 2012. NMD is a day for marinas to open their doors to the people in their communities to show off the value of a marina in terms of providing access to waterway recreation, contributing to the local economy, and protecting the waterfront environment. The goal is to have non-boaters gain an appreciation for not only the marina, but also to build the attraction of boating as a chosen form of recreation.

Marinas can register their events at http://www.nationalmarinaday.org/about/register/. By registering, they will receive access to a host of National Marina Day resources, templates in a Resource Kit, and national marketing for their event on the NMD website. Attached are some print ads, banners, and logo for NMD which can be used by marina operators.
