FY25 National Volunteer Hourly Rate: $34.79
The national value of volunteer time for FY25 has been set at $34.79 per hour. When you enter FY25 volunteer data into CWBI-OPS later this year, this rate will be automatically applied for you.

This value is based on the average hourly earnings of all production and nonsupervisory workers on private nonfarm payrolls, as determined by the Bureau of Labor Statistics. More details can be found here: https://independentsector.org/research/value-of-volunteer-time/

To ensure consistency, this is the rate used by all federal land management agencies when calculating the value of volunteer contributions each year.

This information will also be available on the NRM Gateway: https://corpslakes.erdc.dren.mil/employees/faqs.cfm? Id=volunteer&View=Yes and https://corpslakes.erdc.dren.mil/employees/ policy.cfm?Id=volunteer&Code=All&View=Yes

For your reference, a historical value table—showing national and state- specific rates—is attached. While some state values exceed the national average, we will continue to use the national rate for uniformity across all reporting.
