Other Information: This course builds on the introduction to USACE’s Environmental Stewardship mission with the goal of providing advanced training in select areas of the Environmental Stewardship Program. ENS 101 introduced the concepts of natural resource management by providing a background on the USACE approach to monitoring, managing and sustaining USACE lands and waters. Program focus areas for ENS 102 include the ENS budget process, policy, real estate management, and current issues. ENS 102 students will develop an increased understanding of the environmental stewardship budget process from the development of individual budget packages to the signing of the Appropriations Bill. Instructors will explain and demonstrate the tools used to build the budget such as the Program Develop Manual, CWIFD and ES-CWIFD. Students will also have the opportunity to create and build packages in a test database and learn how packages are ranked at the District, MSC and HQ levels.
