Webinar - Recruiting Transitioning Service Members with DoD SkillBridge & Army Career Skills Program
Start: 1:00 EST
See Teams or WebEx Information
Other Information: Please join us on Thursday, January 15 from 10:00 – 11:00 Pacific/1:00 – 2:00 Eastern for a webinar hosted by the Talent Acquisition Center of Excellence (TACE), DOD SkillBridge participants, and NRM program staff to learn two important pathways that support transitioning service members and help us strengthen our USACE workforce: the Army Career Skills Program (CSP) and the DoD SkillBridge Program.

There is a strong emphasis in the FY 26 NRM Strategic Staffing and Operation Plan to address staffing shortages and maintain open, safe recreation areas by leveraging partnerships, maximizing existing workforce, and funding resources. Now is a great time to recruit transitioning service members for 2026! During this webinar, you’ll get a chance to hear directly from a former USACE SkillBridge member who is now a Park Ranger in NAE and a Deputy District Commander who plans to also utilize this program upon his transition to Civilian service.

USACE is currently authorized to participate in CSP Individual Internships, which allow Army Soldiers to gain hands-on civilian experience during their last 180 days of service. The updated USACE CSP Implementation Guidance is attached for your awareness and use.

In addition, USACE has recently established an MOU with DoD SkillBridge, designating USACE as an official Industry Partner. This partnership expands our reach and is open to all transitioning service members across the DoD, not just Army Soldiers. With command approval, eligible participants can complete an internship with any USACE organization, giving us the opportunity to "fish in more ponds" and access a much broader talent pipeline.

The TACE is developing enterprise-wide SkillBridge implementation guidance, which will be shared in Spring 2026. Until then, our MSCs, Districts, Centers, Labs, FOAs, Separate Offices, and HQ may continue offering CSP Individual Internships for Army Soldiers based on mission needs and command approval.
