June 22, 2023 2022 proved to be an incredibly busy year for our program. At the national level, we continued to be actively engaged in many new administration initiatives and interagency work groups focused on climate change resiliency, sustainability, environmental justice, and outdoor recreation use. At the District and Project levels, our teams worked to initiate project delivery on over $100 million of FY22 infrastructure improvements resulting from the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law and the Disaster Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act all while providing exceptional visitor assistance services to the more than 265 million visitors to our projects. This report also highlights and provides recognition to what matters the most, our NRM workforce. While we would like to individually recognize and thank each and every one of you for the tremendous work that is accomplished each day, please help us congratulate those who have been nominated and received special recognition for their achievements in natural resources management in 2022. Special thanks to Tara Whitsel for pulling this report together!! It is our hope that you are able to take a few minutes to read this document and feel pride in the many accomplishments that are occurring on our public lands and waters across the nation.
