Directions and Factoids
Directions: 35 miles east of Fort Smith, AR. Exit 37 off of Interstate 40 at Ozark, south on 219 for 2 miles. Turn east on Highway 64 and follow out of town. Lock and Dam Road is south of Highway 64.

Factoid: John Paul Hammerschmidt Lake extends 26 miles along the Arkansas River, about half in Arkansas and half in Oklahoma. The shoreline offers a variety of terrain that includes bottomland hardwood timber banks, steep bluffs, open agricultural fields, and urban developments. Outdoor recreational opportunities exists at four parks. Modern park amenities include boat launching ramps, drinking water, camp sites, picnic sites, playgrounds, and trails.
