Directions & Lake History/Factoid
Directions: From Dallas, travel east on I-30 to TX 205. Travel north on TX 205 to TX 78. Travel west on TX 78 to Skyview Drive. Travel north on Skyview Drive and turn right at the T. Office is to the east.

Lake History

Factoid: Lavon Lake is close to the metroplex but far enough away to enjoy nature and serene surroundings. The lake offers anglers of all skill levels ample opportunity to hook catfish, sand bass, and crappie. The Trinity Trail offers 25 miles of scenery for hikers and equestrian riders. The Blackland Prairie Raptor Center provides education opportunities to visitors to learn about birds of prey and prairie ecology. The Richardson Radio Control Club offers RC enthusiasts a scenic place to fly RC planes helicopters and drones. The Heard Natural Science Museum and Wildlife Sanctuary in nearby McKinney features natural history exhibits and a nature trail to explore local plants and animals.
